Together, we can make positive changes in the communities where we live and work.

Habitat for Humanity Costa Rica doesn’t just build houses. In conjunction with CitiGroup, we are developing a project we call Financial Education, which seeks to raise awareness within the families of the importance of maintaining healthy credit, in two ways: the first relates to the good management of family finances, and the second to the importance of completing loan payments obtained for housing in a timely manner.

This Project is structured according to the Vella methodology, which focuses on adult education and the effective participation of volunteers as leaders.  

The development of the project requires the formation of facilitators in the area of family finances who are in charge of training the families in aspects related to the characteristics of credit, family income and expenditures, rights and responsibilities, and savings, among others.
