HABITAT FOR HUMANITY COSTA RICA RECEIVED DONATIONS FROM SUPERFERRETERÍA EPA
On August 8th, Asdrubal Alvarez, Chairman of the Board of Habitat for Humanity, received a donation of $ 15 thousand from Superferretería EPA.
14% of this contribution will be earmarked for institutional strengthening and the balance will be transferred to the revolving credit fund. This fund is a project of Habitat for Humanity, which allows companies, organizations and individuals to contribute resources to benefit people whose monthly income does not exceed the second stratum declared by the Mortgage Bank of Housing (28,000 colones to date). These funds are aimed at families whose incomes do not qualify them for credit for the purchase of lot and construction in the domestic banking sector.
The donation made by Superferreterías EPA is part of the EPA Neighbor Program which is made up of donations to institutions whose impact is close their shops in Curridabat and Escazú.
In practice, the Program works with reliably formed organizations, generating a multiplier effect and, this year, has decided to direct resources towards the support of non-profit associations such as Habitat for Humanity Costa Rica, which facilitates access to housing solutions for families in conditions of economic vulnerability.
